The enchiladas are delicious! Authentically made and very homemade. Might be just a tad spicy for some but for my very picky 89 yr old Mexican mama they were absolutely perfect! I had a flour gordita with pork and red chile. The gordita was well made tasty and with generous filling. Very reasonably priced too! Will be going back to try more dishes... they have quite a few menu items.

AMAZING HOLE IN THE WALL!! Small dine in but it makes up for the food. I ordered the torta with jamon, steak and cheese 5 out 5, was huge and tasted great. I’m from Chicago and finding great quality of Mexican food is hard here in El Paso but that torta was the best I had. We also ordered gorditas de harina de chile verde (with potato & I think carne) which was my favorite! Also chicharron and a la Mexicana gorditas was good too.

I love Mexican food. I came to this place after waiting for over a half an hour at L &J Cafe they were not interested in serving a single guy. there was couples and then there was a group that came in after me and and they got served, I stood there waiting. These guys at The Place Tortas treated me like I was there one and only customer for the day I had the Gorditas they were awesome!
